Delicious Brown Sugar Chops


  • 4 pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork chops.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear each side for about 3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let the chops rest for 3 minutes before serving.
