Delicious Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the pork chops.
  4. Heat olive oil and butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are browned.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 3 minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
