Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the pork chops.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are browned.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 3 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
