Cheesy Baked Cabbage Steaks

  1. Ingredients:
    • 1 large head of cabbage
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

    Directions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    3. Remove any loose outer leaves from the cabbage and slice it into 1-inch thick steaks.
    4. Arrange the cabbage steaks on the prepared baking sheet.
    5. Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and edges are slightly browned.
    7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the cabbage steaks.
    8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
    9. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
