Italian Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Directions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  4. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
