- 8 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix well and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Pour the peach mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until just combined, then pour in the melted butter and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly over the peach mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
