Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin or line with paper liners.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and cooked sausage until evenly distributed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and egg.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
