Ingredients:
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and spread them out evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked. Do not drain the fat.
- Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir until the sausage is coated and the flour is absorbed.
- Gradually add the milk to the skillet, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
- Season the sausage gravy with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
- Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuit pieces in the baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the gravy is bubbly.
