• 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and spread them out evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked. Do not drain the fat.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir until the sausage is coated and the flour is absorbed.
  5. Gradually add the milk to the skillet, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
  6. Season the sausage gravy with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
  7. Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuit pieces in the baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the gravy is bubbly.
