Excelitehost Recipe Videos Made by Our Readers

Every video on this page was made by our readers: real home cooks on YouTube who picked an Excelitehost recipe, cooked it in their own kitchen and shared the result with their viewers. Nothing here is staged or sponsored. You see the same ingredients, the same pans and the same small surprises you would run into at home.

Watching someone else make a dish first is one of the easiest ways to cook it with confidence. You can see how thick a sauce should look, how brown the topping gets and how big the portions really are. When you are ready, open the recipe and print the card for your kitchen binder.

The five dishes below, all made by our readers, cover weeknight dinners, a sheet pan meal and a party appetizer. Thank you to every creator. Click a video to play it, or open the recipe to print the card.

How to Film Your Own Recipe Video

Would you like your kitchen to be the next one in our Made by Our Readers collection? You do not need a studio. A phone and a tidy counter are enough. These simple habits make a recipe video easy to follow:

  • Show the ingredients at the start, measured out, so viewers can check they have everything.
  • Film in daylight or under bright kitchen lights, and keep the camera steady on a stand or a stack of books.
  • Say the name of the recipe and mention that it comes from Excelitehost, then put the recipe link in your video description.
  • Show each main step: mixing, browning, layering and the moment it comes out of the oven or slow cooker.
  • Finish with a close look at the dish on the plate and an honest opinion of how it tasted.

Short or long is fine. Several of the videos above are part of a weekly meal plan or a dinner ideas round-up, and that works just as well as a single-recipe video.
