Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) pasta sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lb rotini pasta, cooked and drained
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the pasta sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked rotini pasta with the meat sauce. Stir in 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and the ricotta cheese until well combined.
- Pour the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
