Fried Lemon Pepper Salmon Sticks with Old Bay Blue Cheese

Ingredients:

For the Salmon Sticks:

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

For the Old Bay Blue Cheese Dip:

  • 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions:

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, lemon pepper seasoning, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Place the beaten eggs in a second shallow bowl and the panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl.
  3. Dredge each salmon stick in the flour mixture, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs onto the salmon to ensure they stick.
  4. Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the salmon sticks in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  5. While the salmon sticks are frying, prepare the Old Bay Blue Cheese Dip. In a small bowl, combine the blue cheese dressing, sour cream, Old Bay seasoning, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth.
  6. Serve the fried salmon sticks hot with the Old Bay Blue Cheese Dip and lemon wedges on the side.
