Easy & Cheesy Garlic Bread

  1. Ingredients:
    • 1 loaf of French bread
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
    2. Cut the French bread loaf in half lengthwise and place both halves cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.
    3. In a medium bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, and dried basil until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.
    5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered bread.
    6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
    7. For a golden, crispy top, broil the bread for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
    8. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
