Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beer (your choice)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Directions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until they are pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the beer, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce (if using). Stir in the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the shrimp are heated through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh parsley before serving.
