Creamy Garlic Mushrooms

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 lb button mushrooms, cleaned and halved
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and begin to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and dried thyme.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
