- Ingredients:
- 1 lb button mushrooms, cleaned and halved
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Directions:
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and begin to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and dried thyme.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
