COUNTRY APPLE FRITTER BREAD

ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 apples, peeled and sliced (any type)
  • Old cream glaze
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of milk or cream

Directions:

Set oven temperature to 350 degrees F.

Use a 9″ x 5″ loaf pan and spray it with nonstick spray or line it with foil and spray it with nonstick spray to make it easy to get the bread out of the pan so you can cut it.

Brown sugar and cinnamon are being mixed in a bowl.

In another medium bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the white sugar and butter together until smooth and creamy.

Beat eggs, one at a time, until they are all mixed together. Add vanilla extract.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Then, add the flour and baking powder to the butter mixture and stir until everything is mixed together.

Add the milk to the mixture and stir until it is smooth.

Pour half of the mixture into the loaf pan that has been prepared. Then add half of the apple mixture and half of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.

Add the apple mixture to the other ingredients.

Spread the rest of the mixture on top of the apple layer, then add the rest of the apple mixture and the rest of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.

Apples should be added to the mix.
Use a knife or spoon to scrape the brown sugar mixture into the apple slices.

Bake in a preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the loaf comes out clean.

Mix the powdered sugar and the milk or cream until they are well blended.

Give it 15 minutes to cool down before you glaze it.
