- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for coating
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, and continue beating until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until the dough comes together.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat.
- Place the coated balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
