Ingredients:
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine Italian-style breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried basil, and dried oregano.
- Toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, then coat them in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Spread the coated chicken pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving, if desired.
