Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cups potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the cooked beef and onion mixture, and sprinkle with half of the cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef and onion, and cheese.
- In a small bowl, mix together the milk, condensed soup, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Pour this mixture over the layers in the baking dish.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
