Angel Pineapple Cake

  1. Ingredients:
    • 1 box angel food cake mix
    • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple with juice
    • 1 cup whipped topping
    • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
    • Fresh pineapple slices and maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)
    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    2. In a large bowl, combine the angel food cake mix and the entire can of crushed pineapple (including juice). Mix until well combined.
    3. Pour the batter into an ungreased 9×13 inch baking dish.
    4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    5. Allow the cake to cool completely in the baking dish.
    6. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the cooled cake.
    7. Sprinkle the shredded coconut on top if desired.
    8. Garnish with fresh pineapple slices and maraschino cherries if desired.
    9. Serve and enjoy!
