- Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small head cabbage, chopped
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until onions are translucent.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, until cabbage is tender.
- Mix in the cooked rice and transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
