Slow Cooker Beef Tips

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  1. Place the beef stew meat in the slow cooker. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is tender.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth. Stir this mixture into the slow cooker and cook on high for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  5. Serve the beef tips over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
