Pizza Waffles

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Pizza sauce for serving

Directions:

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg with milk and vegetable oil. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in the shredded mozzarella cheese, mini pepperoni slices, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Grease the waffle iron with non-stick spray or a small amount of vegetable oil. Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve hot with a side of pizza sauce for dipping.
