Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
Directions:
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add the diced bell pepper and onion to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the mixture into the skillet and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese on each bun half. Spoon the beef mixture onto the buns, allowing the cheese to melt.
- Serve the Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes hot and enjoy!
