- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 large egg, beaten
- 8 slices provolone cheese
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, sautéed vegetables, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and beaten egg. Mix until just combined.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 45 minutes, then remove from oven and place the provolone cheese slices on top of the meatloaf.
- Return to oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
