Parmesan Upside Down Baked Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the melted butter onto the prepared baking sheet or dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese mixture over the melted butter, making sure to cover the entire surface.
  5. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer on top of the Parmesan mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the Parmesan crust is golden and crispy.
  7. Let the potatoes cool for a few minutes before carefully flipping them over to reveal the crispy Parmesan crust.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
