Ingredients:
- 1 package King’s Hawaiian Rolls (12 count)
- 1 package cream cheese (8 ounces), softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup guava paste, thinly sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer.
- In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom layer of the Hawaiian Rolls.
- Place the thin slices of guava paste over the cream cheese.
- Replace the top layer of the rolls and brush the top with beaten egg.
- Sprinkle all-purpose flour over the rolls to help them brown and prevent sticking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
