Crockpot Barbecue Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4 lbs)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub this spice mixture all over the ribs.
  2. Place the ribs in the crockpot, standing them up against the sides of the pot.
  3. Pour the apple cider vinegar into the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat is starting to pull away from the bones.
  5. Preheat your broiler. Carefully remove the ribs from the crockpot and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
  7. Broil the ribs for 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
