Creamy Peas and Noodles

  1. Ingredients:
    • 8 oz egg noodles
    • 1 cup frozen peas
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup whole milk
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the frozen peas to the pot. Drain and set aside.
    2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, until it forms a paste.
    3. Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to whisk until the mixture is smooth and starts to thicken.
    4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    5. Add the cooked noodles and peas to the sauce, stirring gently to coat everything evenly. Serve warm.
