- Ingredients:
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the frozen peas to the pot. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, until it forms a paste.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to whisk until the mixture is smooth and starts to thicken.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked noodles and peas to the sauce, stirring gently to coat everything evenly. Serve warm.
