- Ingredients:
- 6 cups cubed day-old cinnamon raisin bread
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed cinnamon raisin bread and raisins.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
- Pour the mixture over the bread cubes and gently stir to coat all the bread.
- Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the liquid.
- Pour the bread mixture into the prepared baking dish and drizzle the melted butter over the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Optionally, serve with a drizzle of vanilla sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
