Chocolate Ganache Frosting

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat just until it begins to boil.
  2. Remove from heat and immediately pour the cream over the chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes without stirring to allow the chocolate to melt.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and salt. Whisk the mixture slowly until smooth and glossy.
  4. Let the ganache cool until it reaches a spreadable consistency. For a quicker setting, refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes, checking and stirring occasionally.
  5. Use as a frosting for cakes, cupcakes, or any desserts requiring a rich, chocolatey topping.
