- Ingredients:
- 12 oz pasta (such as penne or fusilli)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning, bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook for about 5 minutes until vegetables are soft.
- Lower the heat and add the cream cheese, salsa, and milk to the skillet, stirring until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce, then stir in the cheddar cheese until melted.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
