For the topping:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter, chilled and diced
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
- Cream together sugar, 1/4 cup butter, and egg until smooth. Stir in milk. Mix in 2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Fold in blueberries. Spread batter into prepared pan.
- For the topping, combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, and cinnamon in a bowl. Cut in 1/4 cup chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over the batter in the pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.
