Baklava with walnut


  • To prepare the dough:
  • 800g (6 cups) flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2g (half a teaspoon) of salt
  • 30 ml (4 tablespoons) of oil
  • 15 ml (2 tablespoons) vinegar
  • 250ml (1 cup) water
  • For a drink:
  • 300 ml (1 1/4 cups) water
  • 300g (1 12 cups) sugar
  • 50ml (1/5 cup) lemon juice
  • filling:
  • 300 grams of walnuts
  • 500g (2 cups) butter


In a mixing bowl, put the flour, eggs, salt, oil, vinegar, and water. Knead the dough, then put it aside for 15 minutes.

Cut the dough into 12 pieces. Give it 15 minutes to stand.

Using a rolling pin to spread out dough. Layers of dough are put in a pan that has been greased.

Butter should be spread over each layer. When you have half of the layers in place, sprinkle the walnuts on top. Keep adding layers until you reach the end, and then cut the cake into squares. Bake for an hour at 360°F/180°C.

Mix together sugar, water, and lemon juice to make a syrup. Pour over the cake and serve.
