Apple Monkey Bread

  1. Ingredients:
    • 2 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough
    • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
    • Cooking spray

    Directions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan with cooking spray.
    2. In a large plastic bag, combine granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut each biscuit into quarters and shake in the bag to coat.
    3. Layer the coated biscuit pieces and diced apples in the bundt pan, sprinkling pecans in between layers if using.
    4. In a small bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until well combined. Pour the mixture over the biscuit and apple layers in the pan.
    5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the biscuits are cooked through.
    6. Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve warm.
