Air Fryer Caramel Apple Wontons

  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Cooking spray
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and the mixture is caramelized, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Place a teaspoon of the apple mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold the wrapper over to form a triangle and press the edges to seal. If needed, use a little water to help seal the edges.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  4. Place the wontons in a single layer in the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd. Spray the tops of the wontons with cooking spray.
  5. Air fry for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drizzle with caramel sauce and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
