  3. Stir frequently and let the mixture simmer until it reduces by about half and thickens, typically around 30-45 minutes.
  4. Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the butter until well incorporated.
  5. Allow to cool, then transfer to a jar and store in the refrigerator.
