Instructions
- Begin by greasing a large baking sheet or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Stir continuously until melted and dissolved.
- Bring to a gentle boil and cook without stirring for about 5 minutes until it reaches a light golden color.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt carefully.
- Fold in the mixed nuts until well coated in the syrup.
- Sprinkle the baking soda over the nut mixture and stir quickly.
- Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly.
- Let the candy cool completely at room temperature for about 1 to 2 hours.
- Once set, break into pieces or cut into squares.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week.
