- 4 fish fillets (such as tilapia, cod, or salmon)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place the fish fillets in the prepared baking dish, skin-side down if applicable. Pour the lemon butter mixture evenly over the fillets.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
- Once done, remove the dish from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
