Description
Strawberry Lime White Chocolate Gooey Bars are a deliciously sweet and tangy dessert that combines fresh strawberries, zesty lime, and creamy white chocolate in a gooey, chewy bar.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, diced
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- Zest and juice of 1 lime
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix until well blended. Add the egg and mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in the lime juice, lime zest, diced strawberries, and white chocolate chips into the batter until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing it out for even baking.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, lift them out using the parchment paper, cut them into squares, and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.
- Make sure to let the bars cool completely before cutting for cleaner edges.
- Dust with powdered sugar just before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.
