Description
A delicious sandwich featuring creamy Brie cheese and savory prosciutto, complemented by fresh arugula and optional sweet and tangy toppings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices of crusty baguette or ciabatta bread
- 4 ounces of creamy Brie cheese, sliced
- 4 ounces of thinly sliced prosciutto
- 1/2 cup arugula or baby spinach
- 1 tablespoon fig jam or honey (optional)
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by slicing your baguette or ciabatta bread in half lengthwise. Optionally, lightly toast the bread until golden brown.
- Lay the slices of Brie cheese on the bottom half of the bread, covering it evenly.
- Layer the thinly sliced prosciutto over the Brie, allowing it to overlap slightly.
- Add a generous handful of arugula or baby spinach on top of the prosciutto.
- If desired, spread a thin layer of fig jam or drizzle honey over the arugula.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top if you prefer a tangy flavor.
- Season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Place the top half of the bread over the fillings, pressing down gently, and slice the sandwich in half.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust the amount of salt based on your preference, as prosciutto is already salty.
- Feel free to customize the greens or toppings to your liking.
