Description

Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer featuring tender ribeye steak, sautéed onions and bell peppers, and melted provolone cheese, all served on slider buns.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grab a baking dish that can hold your sliders comfortably.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once it’s hot, toss in the sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté them for about 5-7 minutes until they’re soft and slightly caramelized. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove the veggies from the skillet and set them aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced ribeye steak. Cook it for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until it’s browned and cooked through. Season with a little more salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in your baking dish. Layer the cooked steak evenly over the buns, followed by the sautéed onions and bell peppers. Top it all off with the provolone cheese slices, covering everything generously.
  5. If you like a little extra flavor, spread a thin layer of mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the inside of the top halves of the buns before placing them on top of the cheese.
  6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and pop it in the oven for about 15 minutes. This will help melt the cheese and warm everything through.
  7. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the tops are golden brown.
  8. Once they’re out of the oven, let them cool for a minute before slicing them apart. Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy, meaty goodness of these Philly cheesesteak sliders!
