  • Author: Emily

Description

A delicious copycat recipe for Olive Garden’s famous Alfredo sauce that you can easily make at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Allow it to foam slightly, wanting it to be just melted, not browned.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream, whisking continuously until combined. Let the mixture heat through for about 1-2 minutes, making sure it doesn’t boil.
  3. If you like a garlicky kick, add the minced garlic and stir. Let it cook for another 30 seconds.
  4. Gradually add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese, whisking continuously. The sauce will thicken as the cheese melts.
  5. Taste your sauce and add a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix it well and let it simmer for another minute or so to meld the flavors.
  6. Remove from heat, and your Alfredo sauce is ready to be poured over your favorite pasta!

Notes

  • Use fresh Parmesan cheese for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the garlic according to your taste preference.
  • This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days.
