Hot Fudge Brownie Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce, divided

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar, beating until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle 1/4 cup of hot fudge sauce over the batter. Pour the remaining batter over the hot fudge layer and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Drizzle the remaining hot fudge sauce over the top of the cooled bread before serving.
