Description

A delicious twist on the classic BLT using French toast bread for a sweet and savory experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Pack of Bacon
  • 1 Romaine Lettuce
  • 3 Roma Tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons of Miracle Whip
  • 6 pieces of Texas Toast
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 Cup Cream or Milk
  • Pinch of Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon of Icing Sugar
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare a large oven pan with parchment paper for the bacon weave.
  3. Construct the bacon weave and place it in the oven for roughly 20 minutes.
  4. Slice the tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices.
  5. Finely chop the white part of the romaine lettuce to create shredded lettuce.
  6. In a bowl, prepare the French toast batter by whisking together 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of cream, 1 tablespoon of icing sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon.
  7. Dip the Texas toast into the batter and fry in a pan with butter until both sides are golden brown.
  8. In a bowl, mix the shredded lettuce with 3 tablespoons of Miracle Whip.
  9. Once the bacon weave is finished, let it cool and dry off with a paper towel, then cut into quarters.
  10. Assemble the BLT by placing a piece of French toast on a plate, adding lettuce and Miracle Whip, followed by 3 tomato slices, a pinch of salt and pepper, a piece of bacon, and another layer of lettuce and Miracle Whip. Top with another piece of French toast.
  11. Enjoy your Homemade BLT!

Notes

  • Ensure the bacon is crispy for the best texture.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of Miracle Whip to taste.
  • For a spicier kick, consider adding some hot sauce to the Miracle Whip.
