Description
Delicious and easy-to-make chicken skewers marinated in a flavorful honey BBQ beer sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1/4 cup beer (non-alcoholic option can be substituted)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers (bamboo or metal, soak bamboo skewers in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine honey, BBQ sauce, beer, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor).
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Remove the skewers from the grill, allow them to rest for a few minutes, then serve hot with your favorite sides!
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add some cayenne pepper to the marinade.
- These skewers can be served with a variety of sides such as coleslaw, corn on the cob, or a fresh salad.
- Leftover skewers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
