Easy Chocolate Pie: Indulge in This Simple Recipe!

A simple and delicious recipe for an easy chocolate pie that is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 piece pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (use high-quality for best flavor)
  • 2 large eggs (or egg replacer for vegan option)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place your pre-made pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.
  3. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  5. Gradually pour in the melted chocolate mixture, continuing to whisk until fully combined.
  6. Pour the chocolate filling into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly.
  7. Place the pie in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  8. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 10-15 minutes before serving. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh fruits as desired.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, use an egg replacer instead of eggs.
  • Ensure to use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.
  • Let the pie cool completely for a firmer texture if desired.
