Print Recipe

Deliciously rich and vibrant red velvet brownies infused with crushed Oreo cookies, perfect for any dessert lover.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar, mixing until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one by one, along with the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Stir in the buttermilk and red food coloring until you achieve a smooth batter.
  7. Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies until evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Let the brownies cool in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment paper and cutting them into squares.

Notes

  • Ensure the butter is melted but not too hot to avoid cooking the eggs.
  • For a richer flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
