Description
A refreshing summer treat made with fresh cherries and lime juice, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 1 cup fresh lime juice (about 4–5 limes)
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup sugar (adjust based on your sweetness preference; can substitute with honey or agave syrup)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the fresh cherries thoroughly, remove the pits, and cut them in half. Set aside.
- In a blender, combine the fresh lime juice, water, and sugar. Blend until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add a layer of halved cherries to your ice pop molds.
- Pour the lime mixture over the cherries until the molds are filled, leaving a little space at the top for expansion during freezing.
- If your molds have a slot for sticks, insert them now. If not, freeze for about 60 minutes until partially solid, then carefully place sticks in the center of each mold.
- Freeze the ice pops for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
- When ready to enjoy, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds to release the pops. Serve immediately and add a mint leaf on top for an extra touch!
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of sugar or using a natural sweetener.
- For a fun twist, try adding other fruits like strawberries or blueberries.
