- 2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4 pounds total)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F.
- Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Place the ribs on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover tightly with another piece of foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the top layer of foil, and brush BBQ sauce over the ribs.
- Transfer the ribs to the hot grill and grill for about 5-10 minutes, basting with more BBQ sauce.
- Let the ribs rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
