Description
Indulge in fudgy perfection with these best homemade brownies that are easy to make and delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove it from the heat and stir in the sugar, mixing until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
- If desired, fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Tap the pan gently on the counter to release any air bubbles.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper and let them cool completely on a wire rack before slicing into squares.
Notes
- For extra fudginess, do not overbake the brownies.
- Serve with ice cream or chocolate sauce for an indulgent treat.
