- 2 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1.75 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 0.5 cup brown sugar or honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 pinch nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish, preferably 8×8 inches or similar size.
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, milk, brown sugar (or honey), and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
- Sprinkle in the oats, baking powder, salt, and optional spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well until everything is combined evenly.
- Gently fold in half of the chocolate chips into the oat mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Top with remaining chocolate chips.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are set.
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm! Optional: top with additional banana slices or a splash of milk.
